&#8220;boaty&#8221; Christmas gift ideas.&nbsp; Oh, you know just in case you were looking for a gift for a beloved boater in your family.<\/p>\n<p>Actually, I&#8217;m not seriously suggesting that you should get these for us, so go ahead and put your wallet away \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p class=\"mceTemp\">\n<dl class=\"wp-caption alignright\">\n<dt class=\"wp-caption-dt\"><a href=\"http:\/\/boatlady.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/12\/a-survival-suit.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-114\" title=\"Submarine Survival Suit\" src=\"http:\/\/boatlady.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/12\/a-survival-suit.jpg?w=199\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\"><\/a><\/dt>\n<dd class=\"wp-caption-dd\">Rama, cc-by-sa-2.0-fr<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<ul>\n<li>A survival suit.&nbsp; With one of these puppies, we could fall overboard, and bob around happily until help arrives.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Drogue see my earlier post in which I discuss this wonderful device: <a href=\"http:\/\/boatlady.wordpress.com\/2010\/10\/27\/transatlantic-crossings-part-i\/\">http:\/\/boatlady.wordpress.com\/2010\/10\/27\/transatlantic-crossings-part-i\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Lounge wear &#8211; you know, so your boat friend can lounge around on the boat.&nbsp; I know that&#8217;s what I&#8217;ll be doing.<\/li>\n<li>Fancy glasses &#8211; that is drink glasses, not eyeglasses.<\/li>\n<li>Sunglasses and sunscreen &#8211; for those among you that like to give practical gifts.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Earplugs &#8211; &#8220;Why?&#8221;, you ask.&nbsp; To drown out the moaning of the skipper&#8217;s seasick companion.<\/li>\n<li>T-shirts (Mine sould read skipper, and hubby&#8217;s&nbsp;should read Crew).&nbsp; Oh ho, wouldn&#8217;t that be fun on Christmas morning.<\/li>\n<li>Gravol &amp;\/or motion sickness relief band.&nbsp; For obvious reasons.<\/li>\n<li>Marine GPS &#8211; so we don&#8217;t get lost on the way to visit you.<\/li>\n<li>Weather walkie-talkie &#8211; oh yeah &#8211; I&#8217;ve seen one of these.&nbsp; It gives off an alarm whenever there&#8217;s a nearby weather warning.<\/li>\n<li>Not a cat.&nbsp; Just in case you thought cats and boats go together.&nbsp;
